EBSCO. Web. 28 Mar. 2011.I chose this graph because it shows the rate of firefighters life span. It shows how firefighting has changed from the older days to today. For example the use of SCBA are now used to keep me or other firefighters breathing clean air. Instead of like old times they used nothing to keep their lungs clean.

Firefighting requires an immense amount of physical and cognitive strength. I applaud those who risk their lives on a daily basis to maintain the safety of our community. This is no easy task that an average person can do. My question is, "According this graph, how does the aerobic and muscular endurance change as firefighters progress in rankings?"
ReplyDeleteAs In everything age plays a huge part of how firefighters work. Like many firefighters who reach the are of about 47 are told to take it easy and once reach age 55 can no longer hold a rank as full time firefighter they can fall back on vol firefighting till they no longer can meet the harsh tasks. But to make a point I have family in there 59th year on the job. some of them are 74 years it just shows the love and passion they have to the job. I hope I can still be as strong as them when I am 74.
