"Three Strikes...You're Safe!"

This article discusses the need for fire code enforcement and how to keep people and business compliant and safe. The author states that many times the code enforcement officer visits the same place numerous times for the same problem. The officer gives out a summons so the problem will be fixed but when he returns it has not been done. What the article discusses is a way that the enforcement officer can correct the problem himself. The idea is that after three visits where the person or business did not make the correction, the officer would make the correction himself. So the quote "Three Strikes...You're Safe" means that after 3 visits from the code enforcement officer and corrections are not made, they will be made for you by the officer and so...you and everyone and everything around you will be safe. P.S. They will send you the bill for the corrections!
