Should firefighters be paid this was another question. As said by my fire chief if you don’t come to the house to help or save someone, something then the fire service is not for you. To back up this one of my sites (firefighter nation) said that firefighting is one of the best jobs a person can have and should not look for the money, but the chance to save a life. As said by FDNY Chief I do it because it is my LIFE. So is it right to pay firefighters such little pay for their choice of putting their life out for whatever comes their way. My next question was does vol or full time firefighters have a impact on people. As found vol firefighters sometimes have it harder people don’t think they know it as well as a full time firefighter would (Clark). But to answer this question vol firefighters go though the same amount of harsh and rigors training as a full time firefighter would go though. So if a vol company rolls up on the call of a full time the job is still going to be done the same way. (Mill)
